Jair Dynast gets introspective and a bit personal as he tells the tragic stories of childhood friends who ended up either dead or in jail due to the pitfalls of street-life on the heartfelt “Change“. The driving drums, guitar and dark piano laced music severs as the prefect back drop as Jair Dynast shares these true events. Jair speaks of a well respected hustler he met on the basketball courts in the neighborhood growing. The two developed a mutual respect for each other. However, the path of street hustler is very dangerous and his friend lost his life by way of a gun. Three other acquaintances became entrapped in another street related indecent sending one to his maker and an other to jail for an extended stay. “Change” is truly the embodiment of real hip hop music. Real life situations display and discussed over banging beats. Jair Dynast asks anyone listening “tell me” when will things “Change“.
With his video single “Converse“, Jair Dynast use a story of sexual encounter and lust to illustrate how unplanned pregnancy can easily come about and why it is such an issue with young people today. With the smooth sound of “Converse“, Jair Dynast flips a number of metaphors and similes as he illustrates meeting a fine half Black/Asian girl and lust over comes them. By the songs end the girl is pregnant and the two find themselves trying to figure out what their options are. The option of aborting the child is raised but they decide against that and are grappling with the fact that they hardly know each other but are now tied together for life.
GoRriLLa War, purposely spelled wrong to indicate the animalistic nature of our society reflects just that as Jair Dynast rhymes “back home cops is still harassing and assaulting while we killin’ ourselves over turf Gang warring” Jair goes deep on this song touching on everything from corrupt governments in Africa taking the humanitarian aid and profiting from it to single parent homes in North America and much more. Jair Dynast warns would be oppressors as well with his opening bars stating “better prepare for Guerilla warfare willingly/since the womb I’ve bin plagued with militant imagery, insane with a passion for killing my enemy, lower incoming, public housing and poverty”.
“Tekin’ Ova” finds Jair Dynast taking hip hop music production another level. With this track he combines reggae music, electronic/house and hip hop all into one genre defying record pack with intelligent lyrics. The song discusses current affairs while drawing various references from Jair Dynast’s Caribbean heritage. “Tekin’ Ova” has become a favorite of various UK DJs as well as journalist with one magazine stating “bends the rules of conventional rap and isn’t scared to push boundaries such as the raga-techno fused “Tekin’ Ova”. And push the boundaries it does with quote unquote heavy lyrics and clubby production, “Tekin’ Ova” is part of what has inspired the new fusion of techno sounds with hip hop that is so popular today. But with witty lyric like “when slavery degraded, civil rights replayed it and the struggle for our rights still remains debated” “Tekin’ Ova” is nothing like your age hip hop music.
“Vicious” was Jair Dynast’s 2nd official solo 12-Inch single released along with the b-side club banger “Pull Up”. “Vicious” made an impressive run on the Top 30 North American Grassroots Hip Hop charts at RapAttacklives.com beating out the likes of Talib Kweli, Little Brother, Jim Jones, DJ Khalid and more to peak at the number one position. With amazing drum programming, a melodic guitar lead, piano keys and futuristic synth blasts Jair Dynast crafted the perfect beat for his tales of “Vicious” betrayal and self hate displayed by the protagonists of the story. The classic crabs in a barrel story “Vicious” transcends race as jealously and envy are traits that dwell in all human beings.
Jair Dynast’s now classic debut solo album V.I.A.L.E.N.C.E. opens with the underground rap banger “The INtro”. Showcasing his intricate word play and intellectual flow, Jair uses a string of words that have to word IN to introduce his audience to the V.I.A.L.E.N.C.E. LP, the meaning behind its acronym and the topic matter that lays ahead. Not only is Jair Dynast a versatile producer but he is a lyricist in the true sense of the word and displays a knack for lyricism that is comparable to top emcees like Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas, Kanye West, Andre 3000, Immortal Technique, amongst others. If you feel this is an exaggeration, you’ll only need to listen to just a few verses off Jair Dynast’s V.I.A.L.E.N.C.E. album to agree.
Jair Dynast not only displays the ability to flip similes and metaphors at will but he tells real life, heartfelt stories of the inner city and beyond that everyone can relate to in some shape or fashion. Jair Dynast composes melodies both in the beat-making process and on his chorus, remarkable as he is not even a singer; yet he ghostwrites and produces R&B tracks. Most rap music fans and critics alike agree that V.I.A.L.E.N.C.E. is a special album and it is for this reason that the album was chosen Top Ten by RapReviews and Jair Dynast has been featured in numerous magazines and online publications from Knowledge and Blues&Soul magazines to HHC, UKHH, SoundSlam, HipHop.ch and HipHopCanada.com.
“Life’s Value” is the cappella closer to Jair Dynast’s producer album “Curriculum Vitae”. The lyrics are based on true events that happened when Jair Dynast’s was only 17 years old growing up in the inner city of Toronto. Jair again displays his talent of depicting real events in a heartfelt and rhythmic fashion.
A talented street poet, Jair Dynast’s takes you into a world where the innocent are often harmed by the actions of the ignorant and where the ignorant often reap the consequences of their actions. “Life’s Value” unfold like a movie as you listen to Jair Dynast deep baritone word play. This is a poetic rap genius!
“Success” is the instrumental from a still to be released early recording of Jair Dynast’s. “Success” is a boom bap hip hop banger that goes a little further with its melodic string arrangements and stop and start organ chords. Every note was composed and arranged by Jair Dynast from scratch. Combine these with the hard-knocking drums that Jair Dynast has become known for and you have a complete hip hop production that combines a catchy string melody with a deep baseline and vocal samples blasts. Hopefully, in the near future hip hop heads will have the opportunity to hear the amazing rap lyrics that go along with the instrumental for “Success” but in the mean time, you can download it at iTunes for your listening enjoyment.
Further showcasing his production talents, on “Story”, Jair Dynast produces and co-writes the song for – professional Actress, Model and aspiring R&B singer – Shakira Harper from the hit TV show “Kink In My Hair” and the movie “Exit Wounds” which starred DMX, Anthony Anderson and Eva Mendes. This was Jair Dynast’s first venture into producing R&B and he has since gone on to ghost-produce and write a number of hits that we shall remain nameless due to contractual obligations. Even for a first venture, “Story” proves to be a stand-out having been a featured song on CBC Radio’s unsigned artists website - New Music Canada, among other accolades. R&B, Soul, Reggae and Hip Hop artists who want a proven professional and hit-maker producing, mixing and/or writing their songs need not look any further than Jair Dynast and are invited to contact eMultimediaGroup, Inc. or Darkeyz Music, Inc. to inquire about rates.
As a rapper, Jair Dynast again showcases his talent for writing songs with a storyline on his first official solo single entitled “SnakeEyes” from his well received producer album “Curriculum Vitae”.
“SnakeEyes” tells the story of a club encounter between a man and woman that goes hay wire because the lady in question is a bit of a trouble maker and is out to make her boyfriend jealous. Again, Jair also showcases his amazing production talent and versatility – crafting the music from scratch while, writing both his lyrics and the chorus which is performed by an up and coming singer and actress Soupy. Jair Dynast also provides vocal production for the chorus and bridge.
“SnakeEyes” was also recorded by Jair Dynast in his project studio in Scarborough as well as mixed by him. “SnakeEyes” was the first song Jair Dynast mixed entirely on his own and since then he has gone on to mix a number of records for various clients including several songs from Brovaz Grimm’s street album hosted by Hot 97’s DJ Envy as well as his own chart-topping hip hop music. Jair Dynast is without a doubt one of the most multi-talented rappers/producers on the hip hop scene today.
With every aspect of his career, Jair Dynast always seems to find a way to excel at all of it. “SnakeEyes” was Jair Dynast’s first official solo 12-inch single and it went on to peak at #4 on both Grassroots Hip Hop Trade Charts: Record Breakers and RapAttackLives.com. Jair Dynast is a true jack and expert of many trades!
