Jair Dynast continues to explore and re-connect with his roots. After a successful African Heritage Month in Toronto this past February 2009, Jair decided to visit Barbados to check out the Crop Over Festival there.  As most of you may know, Jair left Barbados as a very young boy to live in Toronto so he’s not really experienced Crop Over.

Jair is travelling with his camera and plans to write some accounts of his Crop Over experiences for you lovers and fans of his music so look out fior those pictures and stories (Jair Dynast the storyteller) to flow back to Toronto so you too can experience the Crop Over Festival through the lens of Jair’s camera.

Jair (Jah-Air) means “one whom God has enlightened” and is one of the names that was given to Jair Dynast at birth.  One could say that Jair has been trying to live up to the meaning of his name for sometime now.  Jair has the uncanny ability to tell a story with feeling, passion and clarity that is full of expressionism.

Jair Dynast debut solo album was aptly called V.I.A.L.E.N.C.E. which means Vicious Ignorance Amounts to Little Except Negative Consequences n’ Expression.  In these days of digital downloads of singles, this is a classic album to buy as a keepsake for when the days of the album finally come to an end.

The artwork design, the liner notes are laid out in the form of a booklet with a table of contents and chapters being each song carefully explained by the songwriter, composer and producer. This is a methodical concept for a debut album and shows the incredible versatility of Jair Dynast. You should spend some time listening to the hip hop songs on this album and I am sure that you will appreciate not only this rapper’s lyrical skills but his vivid storytelling.

After returning with the his smash buzz single “Simple Plan” which has garnered thousands of video views on sites like YouTube and Vimeo, Jair Dynast recently wrapped shooting his new rap music video for his next single “My Style”. The video is currently in post-production and will be released worldwide shortly.

“My Style” is a streetwear anthem that promises to stick in the minds of hip hop clothing heads and skaters everywhere!
